Over the last 86 years, our community has been moving full speed ahead. We’ve hosted Super Bowls. We’ve weathered hurricanes. And just as we revitalized downtown Tampa to attract more people, the credit union has seen a sign that it's time for us to change our name to something that connects to our past but also reflects the members we serve today.
Don’t worry. A name change is just that - a name change. We aren’t being acquired or merging with another organization. We are the same member-owned, federally-chartered credit union you originally joined with the same dedicated staff.
No. Our brand update is not the result of any merger or acquisition of Railroad and Industrial Federal Credit Union.
The official launch of the Trax brand will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

No. Your account number will not change.
Yes. Your card numbers will not change. When your card expires the replacement card will include our new name and logo. It will continue to work as normal with the RIFCU brand until it is replaced.
If you would like the new debit card after October 12 but before your current card expires, visit your local office for an instant issue card.
If you would like a new credit card after October 12, you can visit your local office or call 813.800.TRAX and a new card will be ordered for you. It will arrive at your address on file via USPS 7-10 business days after the order is made.
No. These transactions will be processed without interruption. It is not necessary for you to contact your employer or others who deposit or withdraw funds from your accounts. If you send payments to the credit union electronically, please update the payee information to reflect our new name, Trax Credit Union.
No. Since your account number is staying the same your current checks will continue to work without interruption. When you order new checks our new name and logo will be added.
No. Your username and password for online banking will not change. However, you will notice the look and feel of the online banking platform will change to reflect our new name and brand colors.
We will continue to offer the same great core products and services you’ve been accustomed to. Over time, we may begin offering new products and services that will reflect our exciting new brand.
No. All loan terms including interest rates and pay off dates will remain unchanged.
No. Our routing number will stay the same: 263183049. However, you may still notice that number associated with Railroad and Industrial Federal Credit Union even after our name change is official. This is normal and will correctly reflect our new name in time.
We will update our website to reflect our updated brand and make it easier to locate your favorite tools, including online banking, financial calculators, applications, and more! Our new website URL will be www.traxcu.com. We will also forward the current website URL to the new site once the transition is complete.
All current credit union phone numbers will continue to work as they do today. However, you’ll notice a new vanity phone number used on marketing and advertising material. 813.800.TRAX will be our new preferred phone number. Our new email address will now have the domain @traxcu.com. However, emails addressed to inboxes@rifcu.org will continue to work for a period of time after the change takes effect.
No. All branch locations will remain open and there are no immediate plans to open additional branches.
